"Insert spaces for tabs"/"Display tab width" does not work

Description

I've set "Insert spaces for tabs" and set "Display tab
width" to 2.
But everytime I hit tab it inserts a tab character. But
even this tab shows as 4 spaces, not 2 as specified.

Tested with PHPEclipse 1.1.2 on Eclipse 3.0.1 and 3.1M4

This works in PHPEclipse 1.1.3, well at least the inserting
spaces instead of tabs portion, but only in the PHP
editor.. The HTML and Javascript editors ALWAYS insert a
tab character.

I have CVS 02/07/06 and hitting TAB still inserts a TAB
character and not 2 spaces like I have set in preferences.
It does not appear to be fixed.

Nope. I just retested the exact same scenario you described.
You may need to set preferences in
* PHP -> Appearance
* PHP -> Typing
* PHP -> Formatter -> Style

You're right. Works in 2/7 CVS. I hadn't chosen that
option in * PHP -> Typing. Thanks.
