selecting code by mouse/hand

this really needs some improvement:

When selecting code within on single line (e.g. a long 
name of a variable) you often select the line above/
below also, because the Y-postion of the mouse is 
checked to strict.

Also annoying, try to select code that goes beyond the 
right (or left) border. The movement of the code is 
terrible. It's too slow and too stuttering.
