XDEBUG - FAQ - Manage Configuration

Reported by: dmitneo Owned by: incastrix
Priority: 5 Milestone: 1.3.0
Component: XDebug Version: 1.2.x
Keywords: XDEBUG DISABLE PDT DBG Cc:

Description

I cannot figure out how to disable:
The PDT in order to use/troubleshoot PHPEclipse, or
DBG to use XDebug.

You make frequent references to going to
Help -> Software Updates -> Manage Configuration
in the wiki, but no Manage Configuration TAB or Button exsists on the Software updates.

Since I see two "Toggle Breakpoint" entries in the Gutter Context Menu (neither of which affect execution in either browser app or console app),
and I am experiencing "The Selected port 9000 is already in use" error (or however it's phrased);

and, I (appear to) have good phpinfo() (correct XDEBUG next to Zend moniker), PHP ISAPI appears functional;

  • I must conclude that I don't have the IDE settup properly.

Please find enclosed a screen shot of my installation's "Software Updates".

Can you help me configure PHPEclipse correctly?

(Please note: I am asp.net, donating my time to a club, so I can't afford such things as Adobe [yuk] Dreamweaver, or Zend)

Thank you.

Aplogies for not citing the reference.
I found this page, after installation, while trying to troubleshoot my problem:

Sorry I don't have PDT installed, but someone else can help you.

atm I'm working on XDebug context menu', and 1.2.2 is ready.

Replying to incastrix:

Hello Mauro;
You noted in your first reply to my request that
"someone else can help [me]"

I am wondering if there is something that I must do to request someone else?

  • or do I simply wait for someone else to address this ticket when they have a chance?

Thank you for your help.
